IPL 2017: How Steve Smith spied on MS Dhoni with a drone

IPL 2017
Here’s another proof that all is well between MS Dhoni and Steven Smith, who replaced the ex-India skipper as team captain at Rising Pune Supergiant for IPL 2017. (IPL 2017 FULL COVERAGE)

Steve Smith posted a video on his Instagram about his hobby of flying drone where he captured Dhoni’s batting in the nets at their home ground, the MCA Stadium in Pune.

In the video, MS Dhoni blasted a huge six over long-on with Smith and his teammates enjoying every moment of it. Steve Smith captioned the video: “Me and my new hobby. Love flying my new drone. Even got @mahi7781smashing a big 6 at practice.”
MS Dhoni too seemed in cheerful mood as the drone captured his big hits.
There were apprehensions about bonhomie between Dhoni and Smith at the start of the tournament after Dhoni was unceremoniously sacked as Rising Pune Supergiant captain.
Then the tweet from Rising Pune Supergiant’s owners’ brother Harsh Goenka after Smith’s match-winning knock in the opener added fuel to the fire.
Under MS Dhoni, Rising Pune Supergiant had finished last in IPL 2016.
However, this time Smith has led from the front and Rising Pune Supergiant are almost assured of a play-off berth with eight wins in 12 games.
Smith has often reiterated that Dhoni and him get along well. “He’s been fine. We are getting along well. Everything is going well. Everything is good there,” he had said.
Smith had earlier defended Dhoni’s poor run in IPL 2017. “No, it doesn’t bother me. (It’s) only three games, (so) no problems there. He’s a class player. He’ll be fine,” Smith had said.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 India launch is on May 16, price likely to be around Rs 8,000

Xiaomi Redmi 4 is set to launch in India on May 16. Xiaomi is planning to hold an event in India on May 16, in which the Chinese company will launch the Redmi 4. The device is expected to be a mid-range phone with price expected to be around Rs 8,000 that will make one of the most expensive phones launched under the Redmi X series. At the same time it will also mean that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be probably the cheapest phone in India with Snapdragon 625 processor.
To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 was first announced back in China last November. This smartphone is the successor of the previously launched Redmi 3 and Redmi 3S phone. Xiaomi a few days ago teased about the coming of a new Redmi phone in the Indian market on the official Xiaomi India Twitter handle. The tweet read: "Announcing the launch of a new Redmi smartphone! Want to know more? Stay tuned. #PowerInYourHand" Although Xiaomi didn't confirm the name of the upcoming smartphone in India, India Today Tech has learnt that it is Redmi 4.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 uses an all-metal unibody design. It also has a fingerprint scanner at the rear panel. Not to forget, Redmi 4 predecessors - Redmi 3 and Redmi 3S -- also sport almost similar looks. Also, on the display front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 looks a lot like the Redmi Note 4 that was launched earlier in India.
The Redmi 4 features smaller bezels and comes packed with a 5-inch 1080p display. Further, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. We must say that a smartphone under Rs 8,000 with such a Snapdragon 625 processor seems like a decent phone, given other bits about it are equally good.
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Chances are that Xiaomi may also launch the smartphone in a cheaper variant, which will come with a Snapdragon 430 CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 13-megapixel camera on the back, while on the front the device fits a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI and is backed by a 4,100mAh battery.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the Redmi 4 with Snapdragon 430 was announced in China at a price of CNY 699, which is expected to cost around Rs 6,905 in India. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM with Snapdragon 625variant of the Redmi 4 was launched at CNY 899, which in India could be priced around Rs 8,888.
Xiaomi India VP and Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain also shared a tweet on his official Twitter handle on the Redmi 4 India launch. The tweet reads: "Announcing the launch of a new Redmi phone! This will be the 2nd BIG announcement of the month. Coming soon. Stay tuned #PowerInYourHand." The power in the tweet hints at Qualcomm Snapdragon 625.

How to prevent infertility? New testes repairing cells found

A group of tiny cells have been discovered that target specific cells and provide clear signals to these cells to prevent infertility in humans.

Scientists have discovered a tiny group of cells that is critical to repairing damage to the testes in mice, an advance that may help develop new ways to preserve fertility in humans.
Blocking the cells prevents repair to tissue involved in producing healthy sperm, the research has found. The findings by researchers at the University of Edinburgh in the UK shed light on mechanisms of cell repair and could help scientists develop ways to preserve fertility, which may benefit boys receiving cancer therapy.
Male testes are extremely sensitive to damage from external factors such as radiation and chemotherapy used to treat cancer, which can lead to infertility.
Damage can be repaired by internal cell mechanisms, although the process is not fully understood.
Using molecular tools, the research team removed the newly-discovered cells – known as Miwi2-expressing cells – in a group of mice.
Unlike their healthy litter-mates, mice without Miwi2- expressing cells were not able to repair injury, highlighting their critical role in regeneration. The research also showed that Miwi2-expressing cells develop surprising features in response to damage, making them behave like stem cells.
Stem cells are known for their central role in tissue repair. Insights from the study may assist future infertility options for pre-pubescent boys undergoing cancer treatment and for whom sperm banking is not an option.
“In identifying this key group of cells, we have made a significant step in understanding cell repair in the testes,” said Professor Donal O’Carroll, from the university’s MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine.
“Our study with mice suggests that it may be beneficial to also freeze additional cells in order to maximise chances of future treatments.

Shraddha Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra fighting to be in Justin Bieber's concert?

(L-R) Shraddha Kapoor, Justin Bieber and Parineeti Chopra
May 2017 will witness the release of two much-anticipated films - Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Half Girlfriend as well as Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra's Meri Pyaari Bindu. Promotions are on for both films in full swing, and if a report in SpotboyE is to be believed, makers of both films are vying for a slot in the Justin Bieber concert in Mumbai on May 10.
The fight is on to get the lead pairs on stage to promote their films, with an exclusivity clause. Reportedly, the two camps are looking to bag a 15-minute slot at Bieber's concert, given that both Parineeti Chopra and Shraddha Kapoor are good singers too. However, the schedule is quite packed, and there is a slim chance that both can be accommodated.
Arjun and Shraddha's Half Girlfriend is set to hit screens on May 19, while Ayushmann and Parineeti's Meri Pyaari Bindu will release on May 12.
